Friday Night Services: Be The Voice of the Fallen

5:30 PM - 7:00 PMBeth El Temple, 2626 Albany Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06117Please join together with the Beth El Temple community and give voice to the hostages whom hate has silenced in special Friday Night Services.
Raise your voice in honor and memory of those whose voices were taken from them while being held hostage during a special Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma'ariv service. The service will include special prayers, music and poetry of Israel, and a D'var Torah by David Waren, President and CEO of Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.
Services will be followed by an oneg in order to share more time together as a community
All are welcome. Security will be present.

Please join Men’s Club to help package Yellow Candles for Yom HaShoah Remembrance Day. Candles will be handed out to SULAM families and mailed to all other families with CT addresses (out-of-state members if requested). Donations can be made payable to Beth El Temple; note “Men’s Club - Yellow Candles” in the memo. All profits go directly to the Camp Ramah Scholarship Fund. Breakfast buffet is included at no charge, starting at 9:15am, after morning minyan. Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 11 if you will be joining us. Remember please Share the Light, Erev Yom HaShoah, Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Holocaust Remembrance Day is Wednesday night April 23, 2025 thru Thursday sunset, April 24, 2025. -

MarMarch 16 , 2025Domestic Abuse in the Jewish Community: Breaking the Silence and Building Support

Women's Network and the Sisterhoods of The Emanuel Synagogue and Beth Sholom B'nai Israel are co-sponsoring a program to increase education about domestic violence and promote awareness of its presence in our community. Speakers from Interval House and Jewish Women International, with input from Jewish Family Services, will share their expertise on this topic with us. This will include learning how to recognize signs of suspected abuse, sharing resources that are available, providing tools for talking to teens about healthy relationships and information about prevention efforts. Light refreshments will be available. Click in for registration information.
