Friendly Visitors serve as a kindly presence for our members in their times of need, visiting hospitalized or home-bound members and offering support and companionship. Through these connections, members who would not normally meet each other form wonderful relationships.
Would you like a Friendly Visitor?
Might you benefit from such a connection? Are you alone in your home most of the day and might appreciate a visitor for some engaging conversation? Do you have a parent or a friend in a nursing home who is looking to rekindle that Beth El connection? Please be in touch and we will try to make appropriate matches.
Would you like to be a Friendly Visitor?
Volunteers give time once a week, every other week, or even once a month. Individuals, couples or entire families can volunteer. Perhaps you are retired and are looking to add something special to your life. Yedid Nefesh also makes a very meaningful Bar/Bat Mitzvah project. We match volunteers according to needs, abilities, and comfort level.
For more details, and to volunteer to visit or to request a visitor, please contact Ellen Sanders-Nirenstein at ebsand23@gmail.com.
